Citrine
Citrine is the golden yellow to orange variety of Quartz. Sources for Citrine include Brazil and Uruguay. The color of Citrine may be the result of heating other colors of Quartz. Greenish yellow varieties are often irradiated to produce colors not commonly found in nature. Citrine like other varieties of Quartz has a hardness of 7.
